ScrollGuard Focus is designed to help users understand and manage their screen-time habits. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you use the app.
Depending on the features you use, ScrollGuard Focus may process:
ScrollGuard Focus uses operating-system features to provide screen-time functionality. On supported Android devices, app-usage information may be read using Android usage-access services. On iOS, Screen Time information is handled through Apple's Family Controls, Device Activity, and Managed Settings frameworks.
Protected iOS Screen Time information is processed within Apple's permitted system framework and is not uploaded as raw Screen Time history to our servers.
When you use the AI Coach, the text you submit and limited relevant context may be sent securely to our backend services and to Google's Gemini service in order to generate a response. Do not submit sensitive personal information that is not necessary for your request.
ScrollGuard Focus uses Firebase Authentication. Depending on the sign-in method you choose, authentication may be provided through email/password, Google, or Apple.
Paid subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. ScrollGuard Focus does not receive or store your full credit-card number. We may store subscription status, product identifiers, and entitlement information necessary to provide paid features.
We may use service providers including Google Firebase, Google Gemini, Apple, and Google Play to operate authentication, cloud functions, subscriptions, app distribution, and AI features.
We do not sell your personal information. Information may be shared with service providers only as necessary to operate app features, process subscriptions, provide authentication, maintain security, or comply with applicable law.
We retain account and service information only as reasonably necessary to operate ScrollGuard Focus, maintain subscription records, provide requested features, comply with legal obligations, and protect the service.
You may delete your ScrollGuard Focus account from within the app. You may also review our account deletion instructions at Account Deletion.
ScrollGuard Focus is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided personal information may contact us.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information processed by ScrollGuard Focus. No electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
We may update this Privacy Policy as ScrollGuard Focus evolves. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
